Sally Raspberry is a mama, a lover of life, an educator, a yoga teacher, a student, and a dreamer. Sally’s daughters inspire her to do her best in all aspects of life. Truly, they are her greatest teachers. She is overflowing with gratitude and pure joy to be a mama to these astounding, exquisite human Beings. She is a graduate of Asheville Yoga Center’s 500-hour training; class of 2014 New World Ayurveda’s Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner; class of 2008 Body Therapy Institute’s Spirit of Learning educator program and a 2001 graduate of Medical Arts Massage school. In addition, Sally is a CE provider for massage therapists through the NCBTMB, holds certificates in Yoga for 12 Step Recovery, Spiritual Counseling, Laughter Yoga, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. She will graduate from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine in 2023 with her Master’s in Acupuncture. Sally guides aspiring women and men to become Certified Yoga Teachers through her Yoga Alliance 200 hour RYS, 8 Limbs Yoga School.
Surviving and thriving after a devastating car wreck in 2004, Sally sustained a traumatic brain injury. The experience of trauma, as well as the experience of growing up surrounded by addiction shaped Sally’s interest in healing through spiritual-somatic integration. Using breath to regulate the nervous system’s function in the body, using yoga postures to connect the mind to the soma, and using meditation to overcome fear-based existence are tools Raspberry uses to guide and empower others. Sally offers massage therapy, nutritional guidance, spiritual counseling, and trauma-informed yoga practices to bring healing and empowerment to those who have struggled with addiction, depression, anxiety, and pain.
Each year Sally travels to breath-taking landscapes to teach Yoga, Sound Healing, and Meditation retreats. By 2022 Sally’s dream is to offer YTT and retreats in Hawaii, Iceland, and Costa Rica.
