In creating my home childcare environment I have
borrowed ideas from Maria Montessori's methods; Ive
been inspired by Rudolph Steiner's Waldorf approach,
and above all else I have followed my heart to create a
nourishing preschool which gives children the attention,
kindness and respect that encourage growth, joy and
competence.
Painting, singing, instrument play, gardening, outdoor
play, baking and reading are the major tools used at Zen
Garden to nurture children's interest in the world around
them. I seek to build a sense of belonging in the world
which promotes confidence that lasts a lifetime.
